My Monday
I spent most of today doing what I’ve been doing for several days now, and that is petting my poor shoulder and neck, the one that has shingles on it. Greg and Cecil said it would sure be nice when the other member of the household and I get on the same page and feel good at the same time. To that, I add a hearty “amen!” But, hey guys, I’m basically the healthy one in the house!
It just happens to be my turn, I guess. I have a nasty sinus infection sometimes and throw my back out of whack every once in a while, but I usually bounce back pretty quickly. Everyone who calls right now, though, tells me shingles last a long time, but maybe they wont last 6-1/2 years, huh!!
We could not be more grateful that my bf and sister-by-choice is finally having some days without nausea, and every day that passes, we are more and more hopeful that this time it’s a “take.” She sure is due some good days, weeks, months, years…………..you know!
TODAY’S SMILES:
1. A picture-perfect day outside.
2. Dee’s blog.
3. The rotel chicken spaghetti Mona brought us right from the oven last night.
4. Clara’s phone call.
5. A phone call from cousin Gennie.
6. Even though unable to see it myself, I smiled about Emily’s kindergarten celebration and her great behavior award. I can just see HER smiles.
I’ll see you tomorrow night. God bless. Love to all.

Now that we’re getting older, I am reminded of something my grandmother used to say as older people were referred to as being in their “golden” years. She said, “There’s nothing golden about it!”
