I Think I’m Behind Again!
It has been a wonderfully satisfying, fun, and exhausting day. We had our little Emmy all day and just did some fun stuff. Started by going to Howard’s Donuts and having breakfast, then Emmy ‘helped’ us take Barney Kitty to the vet for his yearly shots, etc. Barney loves Emmy, and she really was a lot of help. After that, lunch at Taco Bell and home for short naps before going to see Night of the Museum-Smithsonian. I did not see the other Museum movie, but I may have to now. I haven’t laughed so much in a long time. To me, it was hilarious! When the movie was over, we had Sheridan’s ice cream (notice a recurring theme here?) and then took Emmy home. Ended up going to dinner with mom and dad at a new place we had not been to before and had a most stupendous-tasting Turkey & Swiss cheese sandwich. While at dinner, Emmy decided she was coming home with us to spend the night, so we still have her!!! She is still talking 90 to nothing. In a little while, she will, all of a sudden, just stop, her head will flop over, and she’ll be snoring! 
Tomorrow, good friends Coleen and Liz are coming and we will celebrate their birthdays. Coleen’s was in May; Liz’s is in July. It will involve more eating, chinese for lunch, and we’ll come back to our house for cake. These girls are two I worked with for a very long time, and we have remained friends and stayed in touch since we’ve all retired. It is so good to be blessed with good friends, isn’t it? What would our lives be without them?
At any rate, I have a feeling by tomorrow evening, both of us are going to crash somewhere in the vicinity of the sofa and the recliner!
I took a couple of days off from the yard work I’ve been involved in, and today has been fun. I thought about skipping tonight’s blog but, knowing I’m technically behind, decided to just stop in and tell you what I’ve been up to!
TODAY’S SMILES:
- Humidity hasn’t been as high today, seems like, so the day has been more pleasant though still hot.
- Don’t know his name, but the actor who played General Custer in the movie today. Hilarious!
- Listening to Emmy singing Ol’ MacDonald to her Mamaw.
- The very notion that Doris actually FELT like having a day like we’ve had and plan to have tomorrow!!
- Hailey will come home from camp to learn her family is getting one of those above-ground swimming pools.
- LuLu Dog kisses.

Judy-I was about to send the posse out looking for you. I’m relieved you were just out having a fun day. I was concerned you might not be feeling well. I was very busy myself yesterday and away from the computer most of the day. What little time I did get on it, I noticed you were not on FB either.
Your little Emma sounds like so much fun. Doesn’t it feel grand to spend a lot of time in laughter? It’s so good for the soul. Enjoy your day…and your weekend. See you on Monday!
