I never liked the newer translations (which were more accurate) that rendered "mansion" to be "dwelling place" or "rooms." Coming from the South and seeing those beautiful antebellum mansions, I always liked the idea of a mansion in heaven. Music has a powerful influence in our lives and just a song can bring up incredible emotions ... often without warning. There are a couple of songs we sang at Mom's funeral that I have a difficult time singing and I love them. Just can't sing them without tearing up.
